Why Mentoring Together?

At ABSL, we believe that a diverse workforce—spanning genders, ages, backgrounds, and perspectives—is essential for an innovative and inclusive economy. Representing over 450,000 business services employees, we prioritize diversity and inclusion through initiatives like Working Together, which fosters respectful, inclusive workplaces.

A key challenge in our sector is managing multi-generational teams, comprising four generations. To address this, our Mentoring Together program promotes reverse mentoring, encouraging mutual learning and collaboration to enrich workplace relationships and drive innovation.

What is Mentoring Together?

Traditionally, mentoring meant senior professionals guiding juniors. At ABSL, Mentoring Together redefines this by fostering two-way knowledge sharing across generations.

Young professionals offer insights on technology, digital trends, and modern priorities like mental health and equality, while senior leaders share expertise in strategy, leadership, and career growth. This exchange promotes respect, learning, and innovation, keeping ABSL member companies competitive in a rapidly changing business world.
