Head of EMEA Shared Services Center, Archer Daniels Midland

Head of Archer Daniels Midland EMEA Shared Services Center; Head of MARS Financial Services Center Europe; Head of MAN Accounting Center; Engagement Manager Capgemini; Senior Auditor Deloitte; ABSL CFO.

Areas of Expertise:
– certified auditor (biegły rewident)
– finance
– building, growing and leading shared service centers
– people leadership
– continuous improvement

Relevant achievements:
Over the last 7 years I was personally involved in building ABSL's finance and internal control function (from very basic "few transactions a month" process to much more professional organization).

Motivation to join Strategic Board/Audit Committee:
I have been with ABSL from almost very beginning devoting hundreds of hours of my personal time as a Board Member and Finance Director. I am passionate about this organization and would like to continue to support ABSL in a different role going forward (Audit Committee member) using my experience gained over the last years and ideas I have on how to improve and strengthen our governance model. Through my contribution I would like to help ABSL to become a world industry leader.

Contribution to the Strategic Board/Audit Committee:
Over the last 7 years I have gained a good understanding of ABSL's financials and governance system playing the role of ABSL's CFO. I am aware of the fact that we are not perfect and despite huge work done over the last 2-3 years to improve our controls and financial strength there is still a lot of room for improvement. I believe that I can use my knowledge and experience (incl. weaknesses) to actively support Management & Strategic Board in bringing our finance function to the next level.
