Business in Extraordinary Times

On April 27, Bristol Hotel in Warsaw will host a meeting of AICPA board, the world’s largest member association representing the accounting profession, and C-level executives managing international organizations. The event takes place in a groundbreaking moment in the history of global economy. Political upheaval, disruptive new technologies, and rapidly changing business models are all creating unprecedented volatility and uncertainty. Business leaders need to respond quickly if they are to thrive in these extraordinary times.

The event will be the opportunity to discuss both Polish and international point of view on current economic challenges. It will be joined by Poland’s former Prime Minster, Marek Belka, Andrew Miskin, Chairman of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and Barry Melancon, President of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, Tomasz Kacprzak, Finance Director at Deloitte and Jolanta Jaworska, Vice President at ABSL. The event will be hosted by Łukasz Grass – editor-in-chief of Business Insider Poland. Present in the media for the last 15 years, he worked at TVN24, TVP1 and TOK FM, to name but a few. During the panel discussion and the Q&A session with the participation of the audience we will try to find answers to questions on how business leaders should act in the face of future changes.

Choosing Poland for the host of the event was not a coincidence. It is perceived as a chance to take a closer look at the country’s capabilities. The government and public sector’s representatives, on the other hand, will get the chance to present Poland’s investment offer and its economic potential. The event will also serve as a networking platform making it possible to start new business relations resulting in foreign investment projects in the future.

We are expecting guests from the USA, Great Britain, Australia, RSA, Romania, Ukraine and Poland. We have received confirmation of participation from the representative of such companies as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Oracle, Baker Tilly, Unilever, BNP Paribas, Metlife, Saint Gobain, Orlen, Avon, PZU, AMS, Tauron, Blackstones, BAT, Pekao, Allianz.
