Buy a Book – help children!

The charity book sale, under the patronage of ABSL, will take place for the 7th time this year. The action – from which all revenue will be given to “Wrocław Children Hospice” Foundation – is organised by Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

“Buy a Book” book fair will take place on September 16th in Magnolia Park, Wrocław, from 11 AM to 6 PM. In this year’s, seventh overall, edition, ABSL works together with “Wrocław Children Hospice” Foundation and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Associated in ABSL corporations from the business services sector first conduct book collections in their offices, which are then sent to the fair. Citizens of Wrocław can also donate books. The collection point was organised by the strategic partner of the event – Magnolia Park. Books can be left at the Information Point by the end of August.

The rules of the fair are simple: participants can choose a book, comic book or an audiobook they like for PLN 5, 10 or 15. All of the proceeds gathered will be given to the “Wrocław Children Hospice” Foundation, with which ABSL cooperates on the “Buy a Book” project since 2013. The fair will be accompanied with plenty of attractions. The youngest participants will be able to spend time in the dedicated children zone. “Buy a Book” will officially open at 12 PM, and its guests will be welcomed by Paweł Rańda, Olympic silver medallist and the Ambassador of the “Wrocław Children Hospice” Foundation.

Up to this point, “Buy a Book” fairs have collected over PLN 83,000, which were given to improve the quality of life, including rehabilitation, of the children under the foundation’s care. The previous edition alone had 100 volunteers working on it, with over 30 companies from Wrocław engaged in it.

“Buy a Book” action takes place under the honorary patronage of the President of Wrocław and Wrocław’s Women Council. The main sponsor of the event is Amazon.
